Trojans and Eagles Fall to the Marauders

Max Sankey, and David Pleva

On Friday Oct. 20th the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders beat the Johnstown Trojans 31-7. The Marauders struck first with a field goal from star kicker Kolton McGhee.  Then, they had many impressive defensive stands allowing them to eventually tack on a score on a quarterback sneak from Mark Conrad.  They went into half time up 10-0 on the Trojans.  The next half would be dominated by the Marauders, except for one punt return by Johnstown.  They ended up winning the game 31-7.  Scorers included John Fanelli, and Josh Yasilitus.  They were 9-0 on the season at that point and ready to  take on Somerset the following week.  In the game against the Somerset Eagles the Marauders won 55 to 3.  Josh Yasilitus scored 4 times, Michael Berish caught a pass for a touchdown, and Max Sankey added a touchdown run.  The Marauders are now preparing for their play-off game against Claysburg this Friday at Mansion Park.
