Athlete of The Week: Paul Liebal

After beating the Somerset Golden Eagles 55-3, the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders Varsity Football team ended the regular season with a record of 10-0. The Marauders are the #1 seed in Single A and had a first round bye for the playoffs. The Marauders will play Claysburg-Kimmel who defeated Penns Manor in the first round of playoffs.  After the Lopsided victory against Somerset, Full back and linebacker Paul Liebal had played a spectacular game on both sides of the ball. Paul had one rush for eleven yards and had a malicious effort on defense with six tackles; one tackle for a loss. With this outstanding performance, Paul Liebal earned Athlete of The Week.


Q: What were your thoughts on Somerset’s performance on Monday Night?

A: Honestly, not much to say… Just another day at the office.

Q: How did your eleven rushing yards and six tackles change the game?

A: I just wore them down on both sides of the ball. Every time they saw  #33 on the field, they knew a storm was coming.

A: Since Kindergarten
