The Marauder Mirror ‘Athlete of the Week’ honors one Marauder/Lady Marauder who excelled at his or her respective sport during a week-long time period. The Marauder Mirror is proud to present the ‘Athlete of the Week’ for 12/1 – 12/6:

Name: Aaron Yasulitis

Grade: Junior

Sport: Football

Position: Running back, Linebacker

Reason for Nomination: Aaron made a crucial interception in the second quarter of last Friday’s state semi-final game which he returned 53 yards for a touchdown. He was also involved in the late fourth quarter shutdown of South Williamsport’s Dominick Braglalone, which secured the 28-21 victory for the Marauders. To date, Aaron has ran for 283 yards on 36 carries with three touchdowns. Defensively, he has a total of 106 tackles including four sacks.

Coach Justin Wheeler’s Quote: “We talked about big players making big plays in big games, and there was nothing bigger than Aaron’s interception on Friday night. It was the one unexpected score in the game, and it was the deciding score.”
