The Marauder Mirror ‘Athlete of the Week’ honors one Marauder/Lady Marauder who excelled at his or her respective sport during a week-long time period. The Marauder Mirror is proud to present the ‘Athlete of the Week’ for 11/24 – 11/29:

Name: Brandon Chadbourn

Grade: Senior

Sport: Football

Position: Quarterback & Free Safety

Reason for Nomination: Brandon played a key role in helping his team rally back from a 14 point deficit to defeat the Camp Hill Lions 62-21 in last week’s PIAA Class A quarterfinal matchup. Brandon threw for 98 yards, including a 59-yard touchdown pass. On the ground, he rushed for 104 yards on 19 carries which included a 1-yard touchdown run. On defense, Brandon produced a 90-yard interception returned for a touchdown as well. In his career thus far, Brandon has thrown for a total of 2669 yards and has rushed for 2262 yards.

Coach Justin Wheeler’s Quote: “Brandon is an exceptional athlete and a fantastic leader. His work on and off the field sets him apart and makes him one of the elite athletes across the state.”

How long have you been playing this sport? 9 years, started at ACCS.

What other sport(s) do you play? Basketball, Track

Favorite professional sports team? New Orleans Saints

Biggest role model(s): Coach Pat Irwin

Favorite teacher: Mr. Bussman

Favorite subject: Physics

Proudest athletic achievement: Winning the District VI Championship in football.

What do you enjoy most about your team? We have fun and avoid worrying about things outside of the game and practice.

Future goals: Make it through high school, go to college, get a good job, and have a family.
